The Engineering Practice of Industrial Heritage Renovation and Renewal from the Perspective of Open Architecture -- A Case Study of a Machine Tool Factory

The CCP's 20th report points out that accelerating the construction of a new development pattern and focusing on promoting high-quality development In promoting the regional coordinated development, industrial heritage transformation, as an important part of the urban renewal movement, plays an important role in promoting regional development and activating regional space. By applying the concept of hierarchy division in the open architecture theory to the transformation and renewal of industrial heritage, the components of the old industrial plant structure and plant building can be decomposed from the level of individual buildings. This paper supplements the consideration factors of open architecture, and forms a universal research method of value evaluation of industrial heritage from the perspective of open architecture, including the selection of value evaluation indicators, the construction of system, the distribution of index weights and the evaluation results. Exploring new methods for industrial heritage renewal design using a certain machine tool factory as an example.
